Patrick L. Turner was born in Fort Worth, Texas, and relocated to California when he was a young boy. He became a long-time resident of San Diego, California, where he attended and graduated from Morse High School. Patrick played football in high school and in college, later becoming a football coach and youth mentor. He is the youngest of nine children and was raised by a single mother. Patrick personally knows the struggles of being a single parent because he raised his son, Marquis, and his nephew, Bryan. He assumed full-time care of Bryan when he was just 7-years-old.

Patrick was very active in both Marquis and Bryan’s lives, keeping both of them active in local youth sports. While they played youth football, Patrick coached. As a coach, he saw many kids who didn’t have the same kind of guidance & support he provided to Marquis and Bryan. In June of 2012, Patrick started the Pat on the Back Foundation (POTB). This project was born from his desire to serve the kids he worked with and others in the community, including under privileged youth. He wanted to ‘give back’ to his community. The mission of the foundation is simply that - just giving back. 

The POTB Foundation maintained a commitment to support disadvantaged and at-risk youth of all ages. In the first two years of inception, the foundation assisted more than 4,000 youth in the community. Through the foundation, Patrick sponsored sports participation, and educational, historic, & sports related field trips for the community youth. He received many accolades and awards for his work and service, including the Presidential Volunteer Service Award from the President Barack Obama administration.

A distinguished gentleman, Patrick is a serial entrepreneur who has managed several successful businesses over the last 30+ years, including PT Print Productions, PT Limo Party Bus, PT World Travel & Tours, and PT's Baja Lobster Run (to name a few). In light of his many business ventures, he has been a government employee for almost 30 years. A business major while in college, Patrick is a natural visionary, and he is an innovative businessman with a big heart. He is a proud father and grandfather. He is a loyal Raiders fan, who enjoys traveling, and he currently makes his home in Texas.
